Edison Herbert is one of those guitarist who make you smile. His playing features beautifully crafted phrasing, ‘just right’ harmonies and a devilishly cunning sense of melody all of which make him one of the most listened to players we have in the UK today. The great jazz guitarist George Benson said of him “you’re one of the few cats who can make that thing (the guitar) sound so good”. Praise indeed – so you’d be crazy to miss him right? He’ll be in concert at Witney Jazz alongside Chris Cobbson (2nd guitar), Paul Jefferies (bass) and Mark Whitlam (drums).
